Albany

RISE is taking the Empire State Capitol by swarm, helping Albany residents and state legislators understand the importance of proper pest control and lawn care management. Participants can "debug the myths" about pesticide and fertilizer product use at our giant, bug-wrapped RV, which features interactive opportunities, including starring in a "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" moment by taking a picture in front of a green screen and choosing a fun background for your image. Or finding out what invasive pest matches your personality by taking our "What Pest Are You?" quiz.

After joining the fun, revisit the web site to watch video and view images. And, follow all of our adventures by tracking the RV and reading our blog.

Team Up to Clean Up: RISE is partnering with a local landscaper to beautify the green space around the Boys and Girls Club of Albany. The Boys and Girls club kids will join in the effort to revive their space with new plants, flowers and shrubs. Come out to the Boys and Girls Club facility at 21 Delaware Avenue. The fun starts at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7th.

Empire State Plaza: Look for the RISE Debug the Myths RV parked at Empire State Plaza, on the mosaic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 8. The RISE “swarm” will be on hand to answer questions and help participants learn more about the benefits of pest control products and fertilizers.
